Morocco to devote $23 mln for jobs in W. Sahara.

Morocco is to invest 200 million dirhams in Western Sahara to start small and medium businesses to provide work quickly for thousands of jobless graduates. The government decision to invest in the Western Sahara economic and social sectors was taken after a ministerial delegation visit to El Ayoun last week. "Half of the amount will be disbursed by the government and the remaining 100 million dirhams will be invested by the local council and other private groups in the short term starting from end 1996," the ministry of interior said.

Official visits

Mr. Malainine Sadik, ministry of forewign affairs of the SADR, visited Laos from 29.08. to 03.09. on invitation of the government. He will persue his trip to Vietnam, where he is expected for three days official visit. Laos and Vietnam recognize SADR in 1979.

Panafrican Youth Movement denounces the W. S. military occupation

The 8th Congress of the PYM, meeting for three days at Algier, denounces, in a message to the Sahrawi people, the illegal military occupation of parts of W. S. by Morocco. The PYM affirms that "it will continue to support strongly and inconditionnally the legitim struggle of the Sahrawi people for their right to self determination and independance. The liberation of Africa will not be complete so long as the SADR has not been entirely liberated". The Congress called urgently the U. N. to take concrete mesures in order to force Morocco to leave its requirements and to allow the implementation of the peace plan.
